What’s the difference between your Multivitamin Super Food bars and a standard Muesli bar?

The main difference is (aside from the unique ingredients, texture and taste) is the fact that Health Discovery, set out from day one to develop the first broad spectrum Multivitamin bar with proven RDI levels 100% naturally. Having “Nutritionally Significant” levels of vitamins without taking a pill or capsule while also enjoying the range of natural wholefood benefits in a delicious bar was always the goal.

What are RDI levels?

These are set by Government and Health Departments around the world. The Recommended Daily Intake (RDI) is the average daily intake of a particular nutrient that is sufficient to meet the requirements of most healthy individuals.  The RDI varies from males to females.  To claim an RDI level, the product must be independently tested and reach a sufficient level of a particular nutrient. According to NZ Crop and Food “

"To be Nutritionally Significant a food should deliver a minimum of 10% of the recommended daily intake (RDI) of the particular nutrient – in a typical serving" - Research Leader, NZ Institute Plant and Food.

Do the Multivitamin Super Food bars contain Sugar?

Fruits and nuts contain Fructose, a naturally occurring sugar, balanced as nature intended with other natural ingredients.

Nutritionist, Fiona Hunter says: "The idea that fruit is the enemy is fueled by the current preoccupation with sugar but looking at one nutrient in isolation, without considering what else a food brings, is a real mistake." "Fruit (and veg) provide a host of phytochemicals [any of the various biologically active compounds found in plants] and there is a growing body of evidence to suggest that these phytochemicals can protect against a whole host of health problems including certain types of cancer, heart disease, cataracts and dementia so cutting fruit out of your diet because you are worried about sugar is like throwing out the baby with the bath water."

Do your ingredients have sulphates or preservatives?

No, all ingredients are 100% natural.
    What are Probiotics?
Probiotics improve your GI tract, they also balance the immune system, fight infections and allergies and improve our mood and cognitive function. “Good bacteria” enhance our mood, combat stress and help with obesity and diabetes.
Gut health is a balancing act. Stress, toxins, and a bad diet can upset the balance and throw your whole digestive system into complete chaos. Probiotics are the key to keeping the peace and pushing out the harmful organisms that throw everything off.
Probiotics detox, digest fiber, produce B vitamins, and help balance the gut. Probiotics from supplements and fermented foods help establish a healthy microbiome with a diverse microbiota—sometimes referred to as microflora. When your body is colonized by health-promoting organisms, your physical, mental, and emotional well-being are supercharged. For many, the chain reaction of health benefits keeps the whole body healthy and decreases the possibility of developing a slew of health, digestive, and mood-related difficulties.
